Who?
THOMAS MAXAM IS A MELBOURNE (NAARM) BASED DESIGN STUDIO, DEFINED BY AN INQUISITIVE EXPLORATION INTO MATERIAL. THEIR STEP INTO THE INTERIOR LANDSCAPE HAS LED THEM TO CREATE A RANGE OF HOMEWARES WHICH ARE STOCKED AROUND THE WORLD. WITH A SLIGHTLY TWISTED, TONGUE IN CHEEK APPROACH TO DESIGN, THEY ALLOW THEMSELVES TO EXPRESS THEIR CREATIVITY WITHOUT ANY RESERVATIONS.
THOMAS MAXAM have exhibited at Vivid design awards 2019 and received Best Object Design for CANDELBRA 0001. Also exhibiting at AGM Expo’19, Denfair: Front and Centre, Workshopped, Fringe Furniture, Canberra: HomeMade, AFA emerging design and the Design Institute of Australia GOTYA awards.

This pepper grinder is made with an anodised aluminium body that gives it a sleek, modern look, while also making it durable and hard-wearing. The hand-cast and finished resin top adds a touch of elegance to the design and makes it stand out from other pepper grinders. It is available in a range of colours to suit your personal style.
The ceramic crush grind mechanism ensures that you get a consistent grind every time, whether you want a fine or coarse grind. It is easy to adjust the grind setting to suit your preferences.

The works emote familiarity and challenge viewers to consider the role of brick within architectural structures; unit upon unit, contributing to the whole. BRICKS interrogates traditional notions of value, technological advancement and craft, harnessing the beauty of poured glass to contemplate the simple elegance of a brick unit. Presented as part of a holistic interior of complementary textured surfaces, BRICKS presents a series of signature luminaires, each holding presence as a stand-alone piece.
